HD4 MECHANICAL ASSIST SPECIFICATIONS
Rail:
Rail consist of special aluminum extrusion fitted with a 5/8" square 1045 steel bar. Aluminum Extrusion is designed to provide a slot for carriage to rail anti-tips. Rail extrusion must have a flange on each side to fasten floor. Rail is leveled by use of leveling screws and continuous grouting under rails. Special rail systems are available to meet special floor loading requirements (consult factory)
Floor:
Floor consist of 3/4" plywood fastened to flange of rail extrusion to provide a unified floor and rail system. All plywood joints to be tongue and grooved to provide a level floor joint. Plywood is supported between rails with leveling screws, spaced a maximum of 16" on center. Finished floor covering is provided by dealer or customer. A 19" ramp is provided for transition from existing floor to elevated floor to meet ADA requirements.
Carriages:
Carriages are made of a special 6061t6 aluminum extrusions. The main extrusion provides a 5/8" high lip to fasten and position shelving. The carriage is finished with a acrylic enamel to match shelving or color specified. Each wheel section must support a minimum load of 6000 pounds. Carriages must support a minimum load of 1000 pounds per foot. Carriages and rail systems add 6.75" to the shelving height.
Wheels:
All wheel except the guide wheels are 4.5" flat wheels supported by 2 shielded ball bearings. Each carriage to have at least one pair of flanged guide wheels supported by 2 shielded ball bearings. All wheels on one side of the carriage to be connected by a 3/4" solid steel line shaft. On mechanical assist carriages the line shaft is connected to the hand wheel assembly and geared for load requirements. The continuous line shaft that provides a straight line positive drive system.
Stationary Platforms:
All stationary platforms to be of similar construction as carriages and are fixed to rails to provide a unified system.
End panels:
All exposed ends and backs as required are finished with either low pressure laminate or optional high pressure laminate end panels. High pressure laminate end panels are 3/4" thick particle board with .050 high pressure laminate, selected from Wilson art color samples. Edges are finished with black plastic T Molding. Low pressure laminate end panels are to be 3/4" thick melamine laminated panels. Edges are finished with black T molding. Colors as selected from Hi-Density standard colors.
